Shri Siddhivinayak Mahila Mahavidyalya in Karvenagar campus is well known for quality education and all round development of girls in the field of Arts, Commerce, Science and BBA. Established in 1990, the college conducts courses of Pune University like B.A., B.Com, M.A., M.Com and B.B.A. Its English medium Junior College provides courses in Arts, Commerce & Science streams.

NSS activity of the college provides exposure to social work in rural areas. Students actively participate in various academic and sports events and bring laurels to the college. Activities organized for the girls are full of enthusiasm and innovative approach. These include guest lectures, study tours, competitions, outdoor camps, seminars etc. The College takes special efforts for personality development of girls from deprived classes.

Department profile: Science
Faculty of Science was established in the year 2012. Presently faculty of science conducts undergraduate programs. Facilities like good infrastructure, internet, projector rooms, canteen etc. are available for the students. College library has a good collection of reference books and other study material. Full-time faculty consists of sincere and dedicated young professionals with excellent academic credentials. College arranges guest lectures, seminars by highly qualified and experienced professors to enrich the knowledge of the students. College aims at expansion of the faculty by introducing different new courses like Microbiology, Computer Science in coming years. Faculty maintains its mission as to provide the healthy environment which fosters continuous improvement and innovation in the subject to develop the analytical and logical thinking.

Eligibility:
Candidates must have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (10+2) or equivalent examination as per the University Of Pune eligibility norms.

Admission procedure:
Admissions will be given as per the selection procedure / policies adopted by the respective college, in accordance with conditions laid down by the University of Pune. Reservation and relaxation will be as per the government rules.
