Interview of Dr. N. M. Joshi 
166th birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Maharshi Karve was celebrated on 18th April, in a spirited atmosphere at Maharshi Karve Stree Shikshan Samstha. Many programs were organized on this occasion. It includes blood donation camp, honouring of senior employees, Formal inauguration of smart-boards donated by the company - G.I.A. India Laboratory Pvt. Ltd. etc.
 
Along with this, in a special event, senior educationist and writer and Dr. N. M. Joshi's book 'Bharat Ratna Maharshi Karve' was also published. At this time an interview with Dr. Joshi was organized. The interview was held at Dhondumama Sathe Hall in Cummins College and was conducted by Mrs. Seema Kamble, Member of the Management Committee. As Dr. Joshi had experienced direct company of Maharshi Karve i.e. Anna, this interaction was special for the viewers.
 
‘During the medieval period, customs became more important than knowledge, and women were hit hardest by this. A woman is trapped in the evil cycle of such customs. All these circumstances had an extraordinary effect on Anna's sensitive mind. This project is based on this feeling of Anna. The work of Mahatma Phule and Savitribai Phule was also undoubtedly respected. The work of Phule couple was like a revolution, while Anna's work was like an evolution. The significant changes in women education today are the result of this evolution’, said Dr. Joshi during this conversation.
 
Through this session, valuable thoughts about women's education and Anna's heartfelt memories were revealed to the audience. On this occasion, the Chairman of MKSSS Shri. Ravindra Dev along with Vice Chairperson Mrs. Vidya Kulkarni, Secretary Dr. P.V.S. Shastri, Deputy Secretary Shri. Pradeep Waje was present. The program concluded with Pasaydaan sung by Renuka Dhumal. Shri. Mahendra Wagh coordinated the program and gave vote of thanks.
