Smt. Shakuntala Nargundkar Smruti Puraskar

Smt. Shakuntala Nargundkar Award is given in appreciation of the efforts taken by women social workers in Vidarbha region. The award is given by the Nagpur branch of the Maharshi Karve Stree Shikshan Samstha. This is the seventh year of the Award. Trophy and amount of Rs. 21,000/- is the structure of the award.

 

This year, the award is given to Smt. Arati Nandkumar Palawe, the chief of the Sewa Sankalp Project run in the district of Buldhana. Her work involves rehabilitation of homeless, rural people struggling with illnesses and other disabilities.
